Jordan Jinosko is a multi-award-winning, Billboard-charting composer. Her music has been performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center by Grammy-winning ensembles and commissioned by
organizations such as Strathmore and London’s County Hall Arts. Inspired by environmental issues and her lived experience as a trans woman of color, Jordan presents new works yearly at events like Interlochen, the Midwest Clinic, and the ASTA National Orchestra Festival. Jinosko attended the University of Michigan and the Eastman School of Music pre-collegiate division. Her Symphonina No. 3
(Of Fire and Water) is a series of vignettes that comprise a portrait of Yellowstone National Park. The title draws upon the words of environmentalist John Muir, who once described the area as “a strange region of fire and water.” “Gold” expresses the longing felt by settlers who arrived during the mid-1800s
Gold Rush. “Fire” contemplates the eventual eruption of the Yellowstone Caldera. “Spirit” portrays the region’s timeless soul.
